Cahuilla Mountain Retreat offers the rare luxury of space and quiet. With complete privacy and direct access to protected wilderness, step outside and wander, hike, or simply sit in stillness without interruption. Whether you’re watching clouds drift across distant peaks, listening to the wind through the pines, or stargazing from the deck after dark, the mountain itself becomes part of your stay: grounding, expansive, and unforgettable.
The retreat’s quiet energy encourages reflection and creativity, while its comforts make longer stays effortless. Whether you come to celebrate something special, escape the noise of daily life, or simply do nothing at all, the experience is defined by ease, privacy, and presence.

Cahuilla Mountain Retreat is designed couples, families and solo travelers, writers, artists, and anyone craving a reset who need more than a quick getaway. This is a place to settle in, slow down, and truly experience mountain life. We invite you to reserve your week and make the retreat your home — waking to golden sunrises, spending long afternoons exploring the trails and valleys below, and ending each day beneath a sky full of stars. Whether you come to write, create, reconnect, or simply rest, a full week gives you the time and space to unwind, unplug, and return home renewed. Many of our guests discover that one week is just the beginning, and plan to return year after year to continue the tradition.

Inside, the retreat blends modern comfort with a relaxed mountain aesthetic. Enjoy a fully equipped kitchen, king-size beds designed for deep rest, high-speed Wi-Fi when you need it, and an oversized deck that functions as an outdoor living room. The hot tub offers a front-row seat to sunrises and night skies, while cozy indoor spaces make it easy to slow down with a book, a film, or a long, unhurried meal.

To make your stay even more effortless, we’re happy to arrange personalized grocery and pantry stocking before your arrival. In addition to the kitchen basics already provided — including cooking oils, spices, butter, coffee pods, teas, and sweeteners — we can stock your refrigerator with your favorite foods, wines, soft drinks, snacks, and freshly baked goods for an additional charge. Simply share your preferences in advance and arrive to a fully prepared retreat, so you can settle in immediately without needing to leave the mountain for supplies.
The last two miles up to the retreat are not paved. They are dirt roads and bumpy and rocky. If you're not used to driving on them, it's best to take it slow. We highly recommend bringing all-wheel drive or 4-wheel drive vehicles especially if it's raining or snowing. The roads are very steep in some places and get very muddy when it's raining. If you have any questions about the road or your vehicle please, feel free to contact us.
